SECOND-IN-SERIES TUG RECEIVES THE NAME “ALIOTH”

Last week MTG-Dolphin delivered a second-in-series tug, named “ALIOTH”, to Navigation Maritime Bulgare (Navibulgar). The ship naming ceremony was held at the Port of Varna on the 29th of June.
This is the second of three vessels in a series built to the Robert Allan Ltd RAmparts 2700 design. “ALIOTH” satisfies the applicable rules and regulations of Bureau Veritas and will sail under a Bulgarian flag.
“ALIOTH” has an overall length of 27.6 m with a beam of 10m and a draft of 3.95 m. The main propulsion is comprised of two Caterpillar engines, each with a capacity of 1800 hp, driving two rotating Azipod Drives. The ship is equipped with an aft towing winch. Bollard pull is 40 tonnes.
“ALIOTH” is capable of performing both port and sea towage, having unrestricted navigation class notation, and of manoeuvring even in hard conditions.


CUTTING OF THE FIRST STEEL PLATE OF BN 1404 – THE FOURTH TUGBOAT OF THE 40 TBP SERIES

Cutting of the first steel plate for the new project took place at MTG Dolphin on 10th of May 2018.

 

The ship is the fourth azimuth stern drive tugboat in construction for Navigation Maritime Bulgare plc. under the supervision of Bureau Veritas and will sail under Bulgarian flag.

 

The ship must be delivered to the Client in the first quarter of 2019.

KEEL LAYING OF BN 1403

Keel laying of 40 t. bollard pull ASD Tug boat took place at MTG Dolphin on 19th of April 2018.

 

This is the third vessel in row, being built for Navigation Maritime Bulgare.

Cutting of the first steel plate for the new project took place at MTG Dolphin on 26th of January 2018.

 

The ship is the third azimuth stern drive tugboat in construction for Navigation Maritime Bulgare plc. under the supervision of Bureau Veritas and will sail under Bulgarian flag.

 

The ship must be delivered to the Client in the third quarter of 2018.

Keel laying of the 40 t. bollard pull ASD Tug boat – second vessel of ASD series tugboats, which will be built for Navigation Maritime Bulgare took place at MTG Dolphin on 6th of October 2017.

Cutting of the first steel plate for the new project – 40 t. bollard pull ASD Tug boat – second vessel of ASD series tugboats, which will be built for Navigation Maritime Bulgare took place at MTG Dolphin on 22nd of August 2017.

 

The ship will be same type of vessel as the already built one “Alcor”.

 

Her construction will be carried out under the class of Bureau Veritas and will be completed in 2018.

Name giving ceremony of tug “ALCOR” took place at the Port of Varna on 02/06/2017

The official ceremony for the name giving of a new tugboat, built by “MTG Dolphin” Shipyard, took place at the Port of Varna on 2nd of June 2017.
The ship is built for Navigation Maritime Bulgare plc. under the supervision of Bureau Veritas and will sail under Bulgarian flag.
“ALCOR” is 27.6 m in length and is powered by two Caterpillar engines, each with a capacity of 1800 hp. The vessel is furnished with two rotating Azipod Drives enabling to manoeuvre even in tricky conditions, and has a Bollard Pull of 40 tons.“ALCOR” is able to carry both port and sea towage, having unrestricted navigation class notation.
